Lycopodium designed and constructed on a D&C basis a new HCL dosing system for delivery of HCL liquid to RO units at the CWW Altona Salt Reduction Plant. The project was delivered on a Brownfield site under a lump sum contract with no interruption or impact to plant operations.
Lycopodium was responsible for the design of the concrete bund area, new pipe bridge, integration of pipe work & tie-in to the existing plant including installing new pipe work to existing tanker unloading area.
Lycopodium’s scope of supply included:
- Fill point
- Chemical delivery pipework (double containment) to new Storage tank
- Storage Bund
- Roofing (over the bunded area)
- Mechanical Equipment (GRP tank, catch pot, pumps, valves and internal pipework)
- Chemical delivery pipework (double containment) from storage area to process tie-in.
The project was delivered under budget and on schedule.
Lycopodium performed all project services including the Detail Design and Engineering, chairing Design Review and HAZOP, procurement and construction management including pre-commissioning and assisted with client commissioning.
All Detail Design and Engineering was undertaken in-house.
